What will it Profit a Man?

I would like to begin by quoting the stirring words of Yeshua from Mark 8:36 – “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

In light of the current events that are shaking the world, I believe that it’s time to think about the most important and main thing in life. As soon as a person focuses on the minor things in life, even though they appear of great importance, he will miss what is important to God.

We stand with tears in our eyes as we intercede and pray for the Ukrainian people, who are suffering, while fighting and dying for their freedom. It is simply impossible to remain indifferent when one sees how innocent people are dying at the hands of aggressors.

Even while witnesses the atrocities taking place in Ukraine, we are also  hearing moving testimonies of the selfless acts of Christians who remained, risking their lives to help the people of Ukraine and to preach the Gospel of Yeshua, shedding abroad the love, hope and light that is found in Him alone.

These believers are the real heroes who understand that the soul of a person won for Yeshua is infinitely more valuable than any earthly blessings or riches. Now is the time for all of us who believe in Jesus to unite, as never before, in reaching lost souls with the Gospel message.

In response to the immeasurable need of people on the ground in Ukraine, we as a community of believers have mobilized in providing aid and resources to individuals and organizations in Ukraine who are actively helping Ukrainians escape from cities under siege, and getting them to safety, even while under fire.

At this time we’re also seeing an influx of refugees and Jewish immigrants from Ukraine to Israel. This is yet another opportunity for us to be God’s hands in helping these dear people, by providing them with critical humanitarian aid and with spiritual sustenance. We want them to feel like they are welcome, loved, and in the arms of family when they arrive in Israel.

Please stand with us in prayer that all of us, as one body of believers, would passionately mobilize for the cause of God, so that as many people as possible would hear the Good News of the Gospel and accept the salvation of God that is only found in our Lord Yeshua.

I believe that the words that Jesus spoke to his disciples in Matthew 9:37-38 has never been more critical or timely for us as believers to put into action and live out in our daily walk with Him, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Amen.
