Putting our Faith into Action

The precious words of the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 13:6 is still as relevant today as it has ever been, and is a call for us as believers to demonstrate the heart of God through our deeds—“Also do not forget doing good and sharing, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

I thank God that together with you we have become the hands of God that are continuously reaching out to aid the needy and broken. Oftentimes marginalized and vulnerable segments of the population, such as the elderly, single mothers and low-income families with many children, simply cannot feed their families due to a lack of funds. All over the world we’re seeing rising prices and inflation which is ever-increasingly shaking the ground under the feet of these precious people.

Under these circumstances, we as believers in Yeshua have a divine opportunity to show that our words of faith do not contradict our actions. Not only are we here at Beit Immanuel continuously helping the poor and needy with food hampers and other daily essentials, but by the grace of God, we have also been able to purchase specialized orthopedic equipment for a school for children with disabilities and special needs.

This type of specialized equipment for disabled children are extremely expensive, and the city municipalities of Israel are in no hurry to allocate funds to help these dear children. As the father of a special-needs child, it pains me greatly to see such children being treated as second-rate citizens in Israel, and not receiving the dignity and help that they so dearly need. I believe that we as believers in Yeshua can change this status-quo through our conduct, intervention, and demonstration of God’s extravagant love for all people, especially the sick and disabled, as revealed by the Gospels.

We who believe in Yeshua can set a different example. When the equipment that we purchased was delivered to this specific school, the principal decided to publicly announce to the school’s leadership and parents that the equipment was purchased and donated by individuals, both in Israel and abroad, who believe in Jesus. Since then, many parents have written to us here at Beit Immanuel, thanking God for us and Christians from all over the world who have provided so generously in the needs of these special children.

I thank each and every one of you who have partnered with us in helping and uplifting the afflicted, the poor and the rejected through your love and financial support. You have taken a stand not to remain indifferent to the needs of others, but you’ve opened your heart to helping others. May the Lord richly bless you and meet all of your needs in all abundance. Thank you!
