Building Bridges with the Next Generation, From Israel to South Korea

Building bridges between believers from different cultures is an important part of strengthening the Body of Messiah. And we had such an opportunity as some of our young adults were able to travel to a conference in South Korea.
As they met, talked and worshipped together, it was moving to see how quickly differences of language, culture and distance began to fade. They discovered that although they had grown up thousands of kilometres apart, they share something much deeper: they belong to the same family in Messiah.
For young people especially, there is something powerful about experiencing this for themselves. It is one thing to hear that we are part of a worldwide Body of believers; it is another to sit across the table from someone from another culture, hear their story and realise, We are brothers and sisters.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. - John 13:34
During the trip, we also had opportunities to minister in several churches and spend time with pastors and believers. These conversations reminded us that relationships are not simply something that happens alongside ministry, they are part of ministry. When believers from different cultures take the time to know one another, pray for one another and share their lives, we grow in our understanding of the family God has created.
Please pray that the relationships formed during this trip will continue to grow, especially among the young people. Pray that these friendships will strengthen their faith, deepen their love for Scripture and encourage them to follow Yeshua boldly wherever He leads them.
