Seeing the Image of God in the Forgotten

Compassion in the Streets of Tel Aviv

There is another part of our ministry that takes place far from conference rooms and international gatherings.

In Tel Aviv, we continue to reach out to people struggling with addiction, homelessness and deeply broken circumstances.

These are people who are often overlooked.

Some carry years of wounds. Some have been rejected by family or society. Some have lost homes, relationships and hope. Others have learned to expect very little from the people around them.

But the Gospel begins with a profound truth: Every human being is created in the image of God and is precious to Him.

We do not minister to people simply because they have a need. We minister because they are people whom God sees and loves.

Sometimes ministry begins with something very ordinary, a meal, a conversation, listening to someone's story, offering practical assistance or simply treating someone with dignity.

But compassion should never become separated from the Gospel. We want people not only to experience kindness from us, but ultimately to discover the One whose love motivates us.

Yeshua did not turn away from broken people. He moved toward them. He saw the people others ignored. He touched those others avoided. He listened to those who had been pushed to the margins. And He proclaimed the Kingdom of God.

That is the kind of ministry we want to pursue.

Please pray for everyone involved in this outreach. Pray for wisdom, protection, perseverance and opportunities to speak about Yeshua naturally and courageously.

And pray for the people we meet. Pray for those who have stopped believing that their lives can change. Pray for those trapped in addiction. Pray for those who have lost hope. Pray that the Holy Spirit would awaken hearts to the reality that their story is not finished.

The Gospel is still good news for the broken.
